Ben Collins – Director
With over 25 years of experience in the health and social care field at all levels across the public, third and private sectors, I bring thoughtful solutions to complex problems.
Career achievement include supporting the roll out of clubhouses across the UK; a transformation of a range of day services into a model of self directed support; and turnaround of several services for adults with complex needs.
Recent assignments include:
- a full scale social care market review for a large local authority
- cost of care exercises for both domiciliary and residential care
- a change in approach to quality along the adult social care pathway
- a restructure and refocus of a regional based charity
- a review of quality systems in a local authority children’s services department
- a new approach to person centred working for a large complex needs charity
- audit and preparation for a CQC inspection for a care home for adults with mental health needs
- a new approach to user involvement and engagement for an NHS Trust (learn more)
Most importantly in all of this, my approach is to work alongside service users to find solutions which are defined by, led by and constructed around specific need and outcomes rather than generic or homogeneously defined care approaches.
I also operate as an independent social worker, registered with the HCPC.
